4th of July Fashion Tips

Independence Day is a time for celebrating amongst friends and family. Barbeques, boating, picnics, and fireworks all sprinkle our calendars during this celebratory time of year. When you’re enjoying these activities, you don’t want to have to constantly readjust or worry about what you’re wearing. That’s why Style Doctors has compiled some 4th of July Fashion Tips to assure your holiday is stylish and stress-free.

The Basics

Layers, layers, layers. From the swimming suit underneath to the jean jacket on top, your outfit will most likely change once or twice on the Fourth. Every piece you decide to put on that day needs to be comfortable, fit properly, and festive for the occasion. Start with your favorite swimming suit and lather on some sunscreen. Healthy skin is just as important as a stellar outfit. Then choose shorts and a top that will serve you well through your picnics, hikes, and lazy hammock afternoon. Think fabrics that are sturdy and wearable. And of course, have a favorite jean jacket or bomber on hand for the nighttime fireworks.

The Accessories

Grass-friendly shoes are going to be your best friend today. Whether they’re wedges, embellished sandals or a sleek sneaker, you want a pair of kicks that are suitable for all-day wear, indoors and outdoors. You’ll also need other basics for outdoor activities – like stylish sunnies and funky jewelry. Think about finding the right balance between fashion and festive when it comes to accessories. Overall, your look should be functional, versatile for different activities, and expressive of your personality on this special day.

The Necessities

Our 4th of July Fashion Tips don’t stop there. It’s a good idea to carry around a tote on Independence Day. Whether it’s a satirical canvas bag or a high-end woven carryall, a bag like this can tote of your necessities. Lip balm, sunscreen, concealer, sunglasses, a light jacket, a change of shoes, a towel for water activities, and a camera are all things that you’ll enjoy having on hand.
